- The number one tip for extending the life of your waders is to dry them. It is important to dry waders after each use. We recommend drying the inside first (if damp) and then the outside. When drying the outside, you can raise the stone guards until your feet are dry and then lower them to dry the rest of the waders.
- Washing: Use a front-loading washing machine or by hand. Use cold water and a normal detergent that does not contain bleach. Once you have washed your waders, be sure to dry them properly, starting from the inside. Never put waders in the dryer - the heat will damage the seams and void the warranty.
- Fit: We offer more sizes than anyone else, a good fit goes a long way in extending the life of your waders. It's important to specify that people should use their exact measurements, as we've already provided extra room for layering and moving around.
- General Care: Do not store waders in your car for long periods of time - excessive heat will damage the waders.
- Use a mat - Always wear your waders using a protective mat to protect the neoprene feet from rocks.
- Dress in layers: Don't wear jeans under waders. Jeans are highly abrasive and will ruin waders from the inside out. More importantly, jeans and sweatpants don't wick moisture away from the body. Wear appropriate layering (to see our layering collection, click here). Wearing layers like these will help wick moisture away from your body and help your waders breathe.
- Stains: Most stain removers will work well on our waders. As long as the stain remover doesn't contain bleach, you shouldn't have any problems.
